Simthetiq to develop realistic 3D models for helicopter simulation and training device

3D models

MONTREAL, Quebec, 15 Aug. 2012. Simthetiq won a contract from Sogitec Industries to develop military and civilian real-time 3D models—including those of helicopters and fighters, ships and submarines, and ground vehicles—for the French Army and Navy NH90 Helicopter Full Flight Simulator (FSS) Medium-Range Training Device (MRTD) and future simulation and training programs.

Simthetiq will include specific feature and options within each vehicle model, adding to the level of realism and functionality and helping to fulfill the tactical mission training requirements. Standard features include multiple levels of detail, authentic texture schemes, precise material codes, distinct damage states, and accurate thermal signatures. The addition of navigational, formation, and obstruction light points will enhance day and night training scenario capabilities.

Sogitec Industries, a subsidiary of aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation, provides logistic support products and services for aerospace and defense systems.
