ORLANDO, Fla., 31 Oct. 2012. Airplane shipments increased 5.9 percent in the first six months of 2012 compared to 2011, according to General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) figures presented at NBAA 2012. The value of airplane deliveries rose 13.2 percent during the same period.

GAMA President and CEO Pete Bunce and NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen drove home the value of business aviation to the nation and the global economy. “1.2 million [people] are involved in business aviation,” Bolen revealed. Business aviation “is not indefensible; it’s indispensable.”
