MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus test tool from DDC receives variable voltage programmability for simulation capability

BOHEMIA, N.Y., 18 Nov. 2012. Data Device Corp. (DDC) in Bohemia, N.Y., is adding variable voltage programmability to the BU-67210F/I/T one-to-four channel MIL-STD-1553 ExtReme PMC, PCI, and CompactPCI/PXI card family to create a test, simulation, and verification tool for the MIL-STD-1553 avionics databus.

Each MIL-STD-1553 channel can be programmed independently for transmitter amplitudes ranging from 0 to 20.5 volts to ensure device under test (DUT) out-of-bounds electrical functionality and compliance.

Benefits include DUT compliance and functionality; variable voltage facilitates out-of-bounds electrical testing; wide amplitude range; optimized for test labs; dynamic I/O Mix; multi-function BC + multi-RT + MT versatility; and full error detection and injection.
