EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla., 29 June 2015. U.S. Air Force avionics experts needed airborne data recorders for the Boeing F-15C/D jet fighter and for the F-15E fighter-bomber. They found their solution from Calculex Inc. in Las Cruces, N.M.

Microelectronics experts at the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at Fort Belvoir, Va., have placed the ProASIC3 field programmable gate array (FPGA) from Microsemi Corp. in Aliso Viejo, Calif., on the Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) for Class Q radiation-tolerant devices for use in space.

PARIS, 19 June 2015. In the first three months of 2015, total worldwide business and general aviation avionics sales exceeded $587 million ($587,100,212.92), according to the Aircraft Electronics Association first-quarter 2015 Avionics Market Report. The figure represents a 9.9 percent decrease in sales compared to the first-quarter 2014 ($651,748,994.12, or more than $651 million); this year's first-quarter sales are more in line with the first-quarter sales of 2013 ($586,006,894.49, or more than $586 million).

PARIS, 18 June 2015. Engineers at Alenia Aermacchi needed an environmental control system for the company’s new, lightweight M-345 High Efficiency Trainer jets, due to enter service in 2018. They found their solution at Honeywell Aerospace (NYSE:HON), and signed a contract for Honeywell’s Environmental Control Systems and Cabin Pressure Control Systems, designed for aircraft cooling, cockpit pressurization, and temperature control.
