HENDERSON, Nev., 14 Jan. 2015.VadaTech, a manufacturer of embedded boards and application-ready platforms, has unveiled its new FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) designed to serve as both an A/D converter and D/A converter. The module, which is compliant with the VITA 57 specification, is targeted at radar, communications, automated test equipment (ATE), physics, and video/broadcast applications.

The FMC525, a 14-bit 5.7 giga samples per second (GSPS) D/A converter and a 12-bit 4.0 GSPS A/D converter, is based on a quad-switch architecture that enables dual-edge clocking operation, increasing the DAC update rate to 5.7 GSPS when configured for Mix-Mode or 2x interpolation, officials say. The input sampling clock can be via the front panel or the on board wide-band PLL. The FMC225 has a trigger input which is routed to the FMC connector. The analog input/output, clock input and trigger inputs are routed via SSMC connectors.

VadaTech offers FMCs in Networking, Digital Converter, and RF Module types. The Company also offers the full ecosystem of MicroTCA products, including FPGAs, MTCA infrastructure, processors, graphics, storage modules, and more.
