The Iso-Divider combines the functions of high-performance power dividers with ferrite isolators to provide an integrated high-isolation power divider solution for satellite receiver applications. Integration of the two functions into a single package provides enhanced product reliability due to fewer external components, interconnects, and transitions, officials say.

Marrying the power divider and isolators in the same package enables the integrated unit’s performance to be carefully matched for better overall performance. Size and weight of the new product are considerably less than an equivalent discrete assembly, officials add.

“The Iso-Divider product family was formed after listening to our customer needs,” affirms Mike Clark, vice president, Microwave Solutions for Crane Aerospace & Electronics. “Previously, our customers would come to us for our power dividers, but then would need to go somewhere else to acquire the isolators. They also needed to determine the best method for connecting the two. We were able to design an integrated solution for them that not only makes their procurement more convenient, but makes their overall performance more robust.”

Crane Aerospace & Electronics delivers systems, components, and power solutions designed to excel in tough environments, from engines and landing gear to satellites, missiles, and electronic countermeasure devices. Products and services are organized into six integrated solutions for aerospace and defense applications, including Sensing Components & Systems, Fluid
Management, Power Components & Subsystems, Landing Gear Systems, Cabin Systems, and Microwave Components & Integrated Systems.

Crane Co. (NYSE:CR) is a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products. Founded in 1855, Crane employs more than 11,000 people at over 150 locations in 26 countries.
