6U CompactPCI single-board computer with 2nd generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor introduced by Kontron
ECHING, Germany, 2 March 2011. Kontron in Eching, Germany, is introducing the CP6003-SA 6U CompactPCI CPU board based on the 2nd generation Intel Core i5/i7 mobile processor for military, aerospace, communications, industrial, medical, and monitoring applications in which low power consumption and low heat dissipation are important considerations.
Interfaces include 6x SATA ports with RAID 0/1/5/10 functionality for enhanced data security, 6x USB 2.0 ports, 2x RS232 ports, VGA, dual HDMI and High Definition Audio (HDA) interfaces as well as 5x Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. One of the six available SATA ports can be used for an onboard 2.5 inch SATA hard drive.
An XMC socket (via PCI Express x8) or PMC socket for mezzanine cards ensure plenty of room for customized expansions, like the dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet network interface card Kontron XMC401. The Kontron CP6003-SA can be used in both, a system or peripheral slot.
The Kontron CP6003-SA supports a configurable 64-bit/66 MHz PCI or PCI Express hot-swap CompactPCI interface. Software support includes Linux, VxWorks, Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows XP, XP embedded, or Windows Server 2008R2.
