Virtex-6 FPGA-based AMC embedded computing module for military and telecom introduced by Nallatech

Nallatech in Camarillo, Calif., is introducing the AMC-420 mid- and full-size Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) based on the Xilinx Virtex-6 field-programmable gate array (FPGA) for military, imaging, telecommunications, and networking applications.This PICMG AMC.0 R2.0-compliant AMC embedded computing module has a range of devices that include logic-oriented LXT and DSP-oriented SXT. Its memory architecture supports configurations with as much as 1 gigabyte DDR3 SDRAM or as much as 36 megabytes of QDR-II+ SRAM.High-speed backplane communications are enabled by two 1-gigabit-per-second Ethernet links and as many as four x4 GTX fat pipe interfaces that support protocols including PCI Express, Serial RapidIO, Aurora, and XUAI. The IPMI backplane interface connects to an on-board Pigeon Point MMC with integrated IPMI v1.5 capability.

Software and FPGA IP core support include an integrated Xilinx Microblaze processor core and 1-gigabit Ethernet and x4 Gen2 PCI Express links. The Microblaze processor core includes a Petalogix Linux operating system.
