The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted the approval, which follows certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). CMC's SureSight family of integrated sensor systems includes the CMA-2600, CMA-2600i, and the CMA-2700, a higher resolution, increased capability sensor system that is currently in development. The enhanced vision sensors offer enhanced situational awareness in adverse operating conditions and enable operators to take advantage of regulations expanding the operational capabilities of aircraft equipped with an EFVS."These approvals are the culmination of an exhaustive development program lead by Dassault, teaming CMC's product with Rockwell Collins Head-up Guidance Systems' head-up display technology," says Greg Yeldon, president, Esterline CMC Electronics.
