BELLEVUE, Wash. – Esterline Technologies Corp. in Bellevue, Wash., is introducing the Racal Acoustics Magna headset for communications in noisy environments in military, aviation, paramilitary, and first-responder applications.

The Racal Acoustics Magna digital headset addresses operator requirements with solutions in electronics, materials, and ergonomics. It offers hearing protection with autonomous battery-powered digital active noise reduction (ANR).

The headset also offers clear high-fidelity communications; ergonomic comfort for long missions; modular, customizable and upgradeable features and accessories to match mission requirements; and a waterproof design.

The Racal Acoustics Magna headset offers noise-reduction circuitry that is digital and battery powered, so it delivers protection even when disconnected from an intercom or radio system or vehicle. Its electronic-compression circuitry, meanwhile, facilitates local sound awareness and talk-through when untethered.
