Aeromexico adds Embraer 175 planes to fleet

MEXICO CITY, 23 May 2013. Aeromexico, Mexico's global airline, becomes the first national airline in the country to operate the Embraer 175, with its addition of three of the modern planes to its aircraft fleet.

MEXICO CITY, 23 May 2013. Aeromexico, Mexico's global airline, becomes the first national airline in the country to operate the Embraer 175, with its addition of three of the modern planes to its aircraft fleet.

Aeromexico is renovating its fleet, replacing its Embraer 145 planes having 50 seats each with Embraer 175 aircraft with 86 seats in one single class.

The Embraer 175 shares its design and cabin structure with the Embraer 190. Other features include more space for storing carry-on luggage in compartments that are overhead or underneath seats, more comfortable seats, and a 2x2 seating configuration with space in the aisle.

Two of the three planes will start operations on June 1 and 20 on routes from Mexico City to Acapulco, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Guadalajara,Tampico, Zihuatanejo, Minatitlan, San Luis Potosi, and Aguascalientes.
