Satellite data shows Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 went down in Indian Ocean

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 24 March 2014. Two weeks after the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, new information from Inmarsat satellite data indicates that the Boeing 777 commercial aircraft’s last known location was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, west of Perth on Australia’s west coast.

Two weeks after the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, new information from Inmarsat satellite data indicates that the Boeing 777 commercial aircraft’s last known location was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, west of Perth on Australia’s west coast.

The appearance of two floating objects, one measuring roughly the size of a single Boeing 777 aircraft wing, prompted further study of that area with the help of satelittes and military aircraft.
