High-tech, no-cost webinar today: Enabling electric green taxis, fuel and cost savings with electromechanical power contactors

FREE WEBINAR, 9 Sept. 2014. Jet fuel is a major expense for airlines, so saving even a fraction per flight can add up to considerable savings. Electric green taxi systems enable commercial airplanes to push back from the gate and taxi out to the runway without starting the main engines, adding up to millions of dollars in savings. Register now to attend this free, high-tech webinar from Intelligent Aerospace and TE Connectivity.

The integration of intelligent sensing and protective functions into electromechanical power contactors is required for green taxis and myriad other aerospace applications, according to aerospace officials at TE Connectivity.

In a free webinar on 9 Sept. 2014, Karl Kitts, director of development engineering for high-performance relays in TE Connectivity’s Global Aerospace, Defense & Marine division, will highlight the history of electronic features development, ranging from power reducing coil controllers to the addition of overcurrent protection and ground fault sensing. Kitts will describe how these solutions can be applied in various end-use applications, as well as delve into "smart contactor" development specifically for electric green taxi applications for commercial airlines.

Join TE Connectivity and Intelligent Aerospace on 9 Sept. 2014 at 11 am EDT (8 am PDT, 3 pm GMT) for a free, one-hour webinar, entitled “Power Contactors for Aerospace Electric Green Taxi Systems.”
