Copa Airlines receives new Boeing 737-800 from GE Capital Aviation Services

SAO PAULO, Brazil, 20 March 2012. GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing unit of GE, announced delivery of a new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Panama’s Copa Airlines to expand its fleet.

GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing unit of GE, announced delivery of a new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Panama’s Copa Airlines to expand its fleet. The aircraft comes from GECAS’ existing order book with Boeing.

The Boeing 737-800 is a twin-engine, single-aisle aircraft that can carry up to 189 passengers and is the second longest aircraft in the 737 family.

Copa currently operates a fleet of 73 aircraft to more than 70 destinations in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
