Data acquisition system for test and measurement in UAVs and heavy equipment introduced by DTS

SEAL BEACH, Calif. – Diversified Technical Systems Inc. (DTS) in Seal Beach, Calif., is introducing the SLICE IP68 data acquisition system for test and measurement in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), off-road testing, vehicle ride and handling, heavy equipment, and marine applications.

SLICE IP68 miniature data recorders, designed to capture physical signals in challenging environments, are for embedding in the test article to collect physical signals in extreme environments or in environments that may cause condensation on the instrumentation.

For applications with size or mass constraints, the SLICE IP68 measures 60 by 60 millimeters, and can be embedded in many test and measurement systems. The rugged housing is impervious to shock, water, and dust, making SLICE suitable for testing applications in inclement weather.

SLICE features onboard signal conditioning, and supports external sensors like bridge and IEPE transducers for gathering critical measurements like acceleration, displacement, strain, pressure, temperature, and voltage. Data direct-writes to a 16-gigabyte internal flash memory.

SLICE IP68 is based on the DTS SLICE NANO and MICRO. The 3-channel sensor input layers are stacked and configurable up to 24-channels. Users can create higher channel count systems by daisy-chaining SLICE stacks together.
