O’FALLON, Mo. Officials at air medical service provider Air Evac EMS in O’Fallon, Missouri, needed software for its maintenance and engineering operations, including an entire helicopter or rotor-wing aircraft fleet, across 135 air bases. They found their solution at Ramco Systems in Chennai, India: Ramco Aviation V5.7.
Air Evac, a subsidiary of Air Medical Group Holdings, operates 150+ helicopters across 15 states with more than 700 active users – forming one of the largest fleets worldwide, officials say.
Air Evac’s implementation of the Ramco Aviation suite covers: Line, Hangar & Shop Maintenance, Engineering Change Management, Technical Records, Inventory Management, Procurement Management, and Facility Management along with Advance Reporting tools.
The upgrade also marked the migration of seven years of Air Evac’s data and more than 120 customized reports into a multi-organizational unit platform that integrates with in-house systems for flight tracking.
“The air ambulance industry has been rapidly embracing technology to improve safety standards,” explains Ramco Systems CEO Virender Aggarwal. “With Ramco’s next-gen aviation technology, Air Evac will be able to better tackle the unique and complex challenges of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) industry.”
Designed to be accessible on the cloud and mobile systems, Ramco Aviation Software provides Anywhere Apps to “redefine the power of mobility” and “significantly reduce transaction time both during AOG conditions and critical aircraft turnarounds.”
The software helps aviation companies ensure zero tolerance to error, with higher safety standards. Ramco’s ZERO UI boasts new features such as Chatbots, Mail bots, HUBs, and Cognitive solutions. More than 75 airlines, heli-operators, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facilities around the world use Ramco software, officials say.
“Ramco’s aviation software provides outstanding downstream report features, including aircraft maintenance tracking and parts inventory records,” describes Jason Hodges, director of maintenance support services for Air Evac Lifeteam.
Air Evac Lifeteam, headquartered in O’Fallon, Mo., is reportedly the largest independently owned and operated air medical service provider in the United States, with more than 130 air medical bases across 15 states. Air Evac provides helicopter air ambulance services to communities in need of rapid medical transport to advanced emergency health care. Flight crews consisting of a pilot, flight nurse, and flight paramedic are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to the scene of an emergency, or provide transportation between medical facilities.
Ramco is a growing enterprise software player with multi-tenanted cloud and mobile-based enterprise software in the area of HCM and Global Payroll, ERP, and M&E MRO for Aviation. Part of the $1 billion Ramco Group, Ramco Systems focuses on innovation and culture to differentiate itself in the marketplace. Ramco has been focusing on moving towards Cognitive and Robotic ERP with features such as Chatbots – which allows users to complete transaction using natural conversations; Mail It – transact with the application by just sending an email; HUB It - a one screen does it all concept built to address all activities of a user; Thumb It – mobility where the system presents users with option to choose rather than type values and Prompt It – a cognitive ability which will let the system complete the transaction and prompts the user for approval.
