U.S. aircraft manufacturing to grow 22 percent by 2017, says Research and Markets

DUBLIN, 9 Jan. 2014. The U.S. aircraft manufacturing market logged $92.5 billion USD in revenue in 2012, with an estimated gross profit of 30.3 percent, according to "Aircraft Manufacturing Industry in the U.S. and its International Trade [2013 Q4 Edition]," a new report from Research and Markets.

DUBLIN, 9 Jan. 2014. The U.S. aircraft manufacturing market logged $92.5 billion USD in revenue in 2012, with an estimated gross profit of 30.3 percent, according to "Aircraft Manufacturing Industry in the U.S. and its International Trade [2013 Q4 Edition]," a new report from Research and Markets.

Industry players imported $10.3 billion USD in merchandise from 39 countries, as well as exported $3.5 billion USD worth of merchandise to 61 countries, during the same period. Adding import value to and subtracting export value from the industry's shipment value, the total domestic demand for the industry in 2012 was $99.3 billion USD.

Research and Markets’ analysts, in the new 171-page report with more than 150 charts and tables, used over a decade of historical data to forecast industry trends through 2017 on the domestic market, global market, and overseas growth opportunities. Armed with information related to macroeconomic trends, granular product data, global trade, channel mix, government demand, and labor structure, analysts predict the aircraft manufacturing market in the U.S. to achieve 22 percent growth through 2017.
