DULUTH, Ga., 30 Oct. 2012. Avionics display specialist Barco has produced more than 1,800 KDU flight displays to meet Honeywell's demand for displays for its Primus Apex flight deck for business aviation.
Barco's 10-inch KDU-1080 dedicated display is specifically designed for integration into the Honeywell Primus Apex flight deck, installed aboard the Pilatus PC-12, the Harbin Y12, and Viking Twin Otter aircraft.

The Primus Apex deck features four displays which equip the aircraft with enhanced functionality, including keypad data entry and cursor control device graphical interface technology. The display's high-resolution, large screen surface enables improved situational awareness in the cockpit; it provides pilots with sunlight-readable images and a wide viewing angle to enable optimum cross-cockpit legibility under virtually all lighting conditions.
"Achieving this major milestone on behalf of Honeywell demonstrates our ability to produce best-in-class, dedicated displays for the world's most reputable aircraft manufacturers, while it reflects our commitment to the advancement of the avionics industry," says Tim Cantrell, vice president, sales, Aerospace Barco North America.
