Under the theme “Delivering Innovation,” EADS and its Divisions--Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian, and Eurocopter--are showcasing products and innovations that will help shape the future of the aerospace industry, says a spokesperson.

EADS Innovation Works, the Group’s corporate research and technology network, will present a number of initiatives in the field of electrical and hybrid propulsion during the show. Included is a fully electric general aviation training aircraft. These “E-aircraft” projects demonstrate EADS’ commitment to develop technologies that further reduce aircraft carbon dioxide emissions.

As part of its goal to recruit 5,000 people this year, EADS experts will provide 21 workshops for experienced professionals, students and graduates during which they can receive details about the diverse careers options within the company. There will also be a dedicated “Diversity Day” on Thursday, June 20, and “International Student Day” on Friday, June 21.

At the EADS Pavilion and EADS Stand in Hall 2A, the Group is showcasing a wide range of products and services, including a full-size A350 XWB cockpit and cabin section from Airbus and a scale model of the A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport from Airbus Military.

Among the Astrium products on display are models of the GO-3S earth observation satellite system and GSM VIP, a service that combines satellite telecommunications with mobile telephony to deploy a GSM network independent of local networks.

Cassidian is presenting unmanned aerial systems (UAS) like Harfang, as well as the Eurofighter jet fighter plane including a flight simulator. On the static display from Eurocopter is an EC725 Caracal, the new EC645T2 (scale 1), an EC135, along with the AS565 MBe Panther and X3 high-speed helicopter.
