(NYSE:ARX), a global provider of microelectronic components and test & measurement equipment, is on track to merge with Cobham plc (LSE:COB.LN), a U.K.-listed company that designs and manufactures a wide range of equipment, specialized systems, and components for the aerospace, defense, energy, and electronics industries.

As a result of the merger contemplated by the merger agreement, the company will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cobham.

Aeroflex stockholders voted to approve the proposal to adopt the merger agreement. According to the final tally of shares of Common Stock voted, approximately 87 percent of the outstanding shares of Common Stock of the Company as of the close of business on 7 August 2014 voted to approve the proposal to adopt the merger agreement.

Aeroflex officials expect the merger to close on or about 12 September 2014, subject to the satisfaction or waiver of certain conditions set forth in the merger agreement and discussed in detail in the Definitive Proxy Statement on Schedule 14A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission by the Company on 8 August 2014.
