FARNBOROUGH, England, 17 July 2014. Gyro-Stabilized Systems is introducing its S516 RetinEye Ultra-HD airborne sensor during Farnborough International Airshow 2014.
The S516 RetinEye is a single line replaceable unit, electro-optical surveillance system designed for a wide variety of missions and applications, including military, law enforcement, homeland security, public safety, and search and rescue.
Its 5-axis gyro-stabilization and Ultra-HD (5120 x 2880 resolution) camera, allows sensor operators to read license plates and recognize faces from a distance of more than a mile. With true payload interchangeability completed in the field, the S516 RetinEye enables end users to select the perfect sensor for successful mission completion.
Measuring 16 inches and 85 pounds, the S516 RetinEye is currently installed on multiple helicopter models.
Gyro-Stabilized Systems delivers defense, paramilitary, and law enforcement markets with HD, ultra-HD/5K airborne sensors, while providing sensor interchangeability to allow end-users to tailor payloads according to mission requirements, and for easy sensor upgrades as technology advances. With more than 50 combined years of gyro-stabilized camera system experience, in both the commercial and government/military markets, GSS designs, manufactures, markets, and supports stabilized camera and other system platforms worldwide.
GSS is exhibiting at FIA14 in Hall 3, Stand B5 (U.S. Pavilion).
