L-3’s 6.25-by-6.25-inch MPD is a form, fit, function display that is backward- and forward-compatible with the MPDs currently used on the aircraft. The latest L-3 design minimizes life-cycle cost, enhances the display resolution (1024 x 1024) and increases situational awareness, while providing improved product reliability, obsolescence protection, and provisions for increased performance, officials say.

“L-3 Display Systems is proud of the long-standing, successful relationship that we have with The Boeing Company and the U.S. Army AH-64 Apache team,” says Bruce Coffey, president of L-3 Display Systems. “We will continue to provide our customers with products that meet or exceed their specifications, goals, schedules and business objectives.”

L-3 Display Systems is a division of L-3 Aviation Products (L-3 AP), a provider of commercial and military avionics, including a diverse line of safety- and efficiency-enhancing products designed to meet next-generation requirements, including configurable voice and data recorders, collision avoidance systems, navigation products, display systems, and processors.
