Parker Aerospace forms Gas Turbine PowerGen Division

PARIS, 15 June 2015. Parker Aerospace officials have formed a new Gas Turbine PowerGen Division, which will work closely with Parker Hannifin Corp.’s global energy market team to grow its energy business. Parker Aerospace’s power-generation business – led by its Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division – has become a significant portion of Parker Hannifin’s overall energy business and poised to accelerate its growth with the new division.

The Gas Turbine PowerGen Division will leverage the strong customer relationships, technologies, and operational capabilities of Parker Aerospace and its Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division to provide world-class components, subsystems, and system-level solutions that add value to its customers, officials say.

The new division is based in Parker’s existing facility in Mount Holly, South Carolina. Steve O’Connor has been named the new division’s general manager. O’Connor joined Parker Aerospace in 1983, serving in a variety of leadership roles, including engineering section head, director of operations, director of fuel systems, and director of advanced technology. In addition, he successfully directed the integration of two Parker Aerospace divisions into the current Fluid Systems Division. Most recently, O’Connor served as a regional business unit manager for Parker Aerospace’s Fluid Systems Division, leading three sites in the East Coast region.
