TISTA Science and Technology to provide procurement services to NASA Johnson Space Center

ROCKVILLE, Md., 28 Aug. 2013. TISTA Science and Technology Corp., a SDVOSB and 8(a) IT and engineering company, won a NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Procurement Support Services (JOPS) contract to provide services related to the procurement, resource management, analytical, and institutional management functions.

The Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside, prime contract, TISTA’s first NASA contract win, features one base year with four option years and a total value of $4 million.

"As a former astronaut assigned to JSC for nearly a decade, I am elated that our firm has been chosen to support the mission at my primary NASA center," says Bill Gregory, TISTA advisory board member.

Under JOPS, TISTA will undertake file and records management; document configuration and development; process assessment; acquisition and budgetary preparation; facility planning; data maintenance; logistical duties; and report integration.

"This contract will demonstrate our capability to provide comprehensive solutions on a national level. It will also give us the opportunity to grow within NASA, which is a strategic goal of TISTA," says Ahmed Ali, president and chairman of TISTA.

TISTA will follow ISO 90001:2008 process improvement standards to help meet JOPS requirements. The company will also partner with 4WS, the incumbent on the prior contract.
